Dear Country View Families, We are thrilled to announce our upcoming One Book, One School activity! This year, we have selected the inspiring book, Way of the Warrior Kid, for our entire school community to enjoy together. This initiative aims to foster a shared reading experience among students, families, and staff, promoting literacy and community engagement. Important Details: Book Distribution: On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the youngest student in each family will bring home a copy of Way of the Warrior Kid along with a reading calendar. Reading Calendar: The attached calendar indicates which chapter to read each night. We encourage families to read together and discuss the book as a shared activity. Nightly Questions: Each night, there will be a specific question related to the chapter. Students can jot down their answers and include their name on the paper. This can be dropped into the designated container at school the following morning. Daily Prize Drawings: We will conduct daily drawings for prizes based on the question entries. This adds an element of fun and excitement to the reading experience! Videos: Our dedicated faculty and staff have recorded themselves reading various chapters of the book, which are available on our website. Please look for the "One Book, One School" section to access these engaging videos. Fundraiser Appreciation: We extend our heartfelt thanks to all families for your support during our recent fundraiser, which made it possible for us to provide a book to every family. Your contributions are invaluable to our school community! Yearbook Opportunity: We invite you to capture moments of your family reading together! If you'd like to be considered for a feature in our yearbook, please email your reading photos to ahadley827@yahoo.com. We're excited to showcase the best pictures of our families enjoying Way of the Warrior Kid together. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. We hope this initiative brings joy and memorable moments to your family. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. Happy Reading! Warm regards, Mary Heslop School Administrator Country View Elementary School We look forward to seeing our community come together through this enriching activity. Let’s make Way of the Warrior Kid a shared adventure for all!

🎼 5th & 6th Graders Experience the Utah Symphony! 🎻 Country View's 5th and 6th-grade classes had an incredible opportunity to visit Fremont High School for an inspiring field trip with the Utah Symphony! During this special experience, students learned about the instruments used in an orchestra, how they sound, and the different roles they play. They also explored various musical styles, tempos, and genres. The symphony's conductor shared insights about her role and demonstrated how to lead a symphony, providing a deeper appreciation for the art of music. It was a joy to fill Fremont’s auditorium with music and excitement alongside students from across the district. A huge thank you to the Utah Symphony for an unforgettable morning of music and learning! 🎶
