Our amazing teachers are back and ready to welcome students for an exciting new school year! Before we dive into the classroom fun, here's a glimpse into what our fabulous fifth grade teachers were up to this summer:

🌟 Ms. Dalrymple had an adventurous summer. She bravely underwent brain surgery, which wasn't on her summer bucket list, but it was necessary. We're thrilled to share that she's healing beautifully! Alongside her recovery, she enjoyed watching How to Train Your Dragon in theaters and indulged in some great books.

🏖 Mr. Warren made the most of his summer with his family. Together with Mrs. Warren and their kids, they explored beautiful beaches, went three-wheeling, and had a blast in Raleigh, North Carolina.

🌳 Mrs. Atkinson cherished her summer days surrounded by family. She took the time to relax, enjoy nature, and go on lots of peaceful walks.

Now, with refreshed spirits and joyful hearts, we're all set to welcome our new classes. To all our fifth graders, whether you're just joining us or returning, don't forget to send a shout-out to these incredible teachers. Here's to an amazing school year ahead!

📚 The Teachers Are Back! ✏️

School may not start until later this month, but our amazing teachers are already hard at work preparing for the year ahead!

This summer, some of our staff traveled all the way to Raleigh, North Carolina for a teacher conference where they learned fresh strategies, creative ideas, and innovative techniques to bring into their classrooms. 💡

Of course, it wasn’t all work — they also enjoyed exploring Raleigh’s sights, flavors, and history together. 🌆🍽️

We can’t wait to share more posts this week about the fun and inspiring things our teachers did over the summer to get ready for an incredible new school year.

Here’s to learning, laughter, and making 2025-2026 the best year yet! 🎉

Dear Country View Families, We are thrilled to announce our upcoming One Book, One School activity! This year, we have selected the inspiring book, Way of the Warrior Kid, for our entire school community to enjoy together. This initiative aims to foster a shared reading experience among students, families, and staff, promoting literacy and community engagement. Important Details: Book Distribution: On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the youngest student in each family will bring home a copy of Way of the Warrior Kid along with a reading calendar. Reading Calendar: The attached calendar indicates which chapter to read each night. We encourage families to read together and discuss the book as a shared activity. Nightly Questions: Each night, there will be a specific question related to the chapter. Students can jot down their answers and include their name on the paper. This can be dropped into the designated container at school the following morning. Daily Prize Drawings: We will conduct daily drawings for prizes based on the question entries. This adds an element of fun and excitement to the reading experience! Videos: Our dedicated faculty and staff have recorded themselves reading various chapters of the book, which are available on our website. Please look for the "One Book, One School" section to access these engaging videos. Fundraiser Appreciation: We extend our heartfelt thanks to all families for your support during our recent fundraiser, which made it possible for us to provide a book to every family. Your contributions are invaluable to our school community! Yearbook Opportunity: We invite you to capture moments of your family reading together! If you'd like to be considered for a feature in our yearbook, please email your reading photos to ahadley827@yahoo.com.
