Today we had the incredible privilege of welcoming some of our amazing district superintendents to our school! They came to read to our students and celebrate our Summer Reading Program participants.

Each year, our district encourages students to keep reading all summer long—and those who log their reading hours earn special recognition. 🌞📖

Today, our hardworking readers were presented with their well-deserved awards by the visiting superintendents. 🎉👏

Congratulations to all our winners! Your dedication and love for reading truly shine. We’re so proud of our Country View Colts—GO COLTS! 💙🐴

Join us for WALK TO SCHOOL day on Thursday, October 9, from 8:00 am to 8:30 AM. We will have lots of fun adults cheering on the students and teaching them how to walk to school safely, like firefighters, police, government officials from local cities, Rocky Mountain SBO, and Cheerleaders. It will be a fun morning!! (Buses will drop students off at Rocky Mountain to walk over to join in the fun)

🦁🐵🐘 First grade had an amazing adventure at the zoo today! The smiles were just as big as the animals they saw. 🐯🦒

We are so grateful for our supportive PTA and caring community who make experiences like this possible for our students. 💛 Thank you for helping bring learning to life outside the classroom! 🌟

🧪✨ Our 5th graders had an explosive good time with Discovery Gateway! They learned all about reaction time and even got hands-on experience performing real chemical reactions. 🔬💥

Nothing beats the excitement of science coming to life right in the classroom! 🌟👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

🎉 Colt CARE Celebration at Country View! 🎉

Each month our students work hard to follow our school-wide expectations: Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible. As they show these positive behaviors, they earn Colt CARE tickets that can be used for awesome rewards.

At the end of the month, students get to “pay” with their tickets to join in fun Colt CARE activities planned by our amazing teachers, aides, and staff. 💙

This month’s activities were a blast! Students enjoyed:
🔥 Playing “The Floor is Lava” outside
🍂 Making fall leaf globes
🎨 Coloring and crafts
🍡 Building marshmallow towers
🎲 Playing board games
📚 Making bookmarks

📚✨ Country View had a special treat today! Local Utah author Lance Conrad visited our 5th & 6th graders and shared amazing insight about developing characters in writing. Our students loved learning from his experience and energy! 💡📝 We are so grateful for opportunities like this where guest speakers inspire and encourage our students in new and exciting ways. Thank you, Lance Conrad, for making writing come alive! 🙌

Congratulations to our Colt Success student winners for the week for being Bucket Fillers!

On Monday, Mrs. Atkinson's and Mrs. Stalder's classes had a special treat—one of our students brought their goats to class! 🐐 Everyone loved petting them and watching them explore. It was a memorable, hands-on learning experience for all!

Mrs. Bolton’s and Mrs. Taurone’s first graders worked together to synergize and create their very own classroom mission statement! 🙌✨ With the wonderful guidance of Mrs. Sarah Hone, our amazing Leader in Me mentor, these students are learning how to take ownership of their classroom and their future. 💡💪

🌈✨ Learning colors is more fun when the whole school joins in! 🎉

Our kindergarteners have been learning their colors, and the whole school joined in to cheer them on. 🎨✨ Thanks to our amazing kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Gines, everyone knew which color to wear each day. From teachers and aides to office staff, so many joined in to make learning extra fun!

At Country View, we’re all about lifting each other up—from kindergarten all the way through 6th grade. 💪📚

🎤✨ Every Friday at Country View Elementary, a different class gets the special opportunity to lead our morning announcements! This week, Mrs. Bingham’s 6th grade class did an amazing job kicking off our day. 👏 We love seeing our students take the lead—this tradition ties perfectly into our Leader in Me program. 🌟 Great work, 6th graders! We can’t wait to hear from all of our classes throughout the year. 💙💛

Today, our 4th graders got a special visit from the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium—right in our own school! Students met a live turtle and a giant cockroach while learning about animal adaptations and habitats.

The excitement didn’t stop there: every 4th grader also found out they’ll receive a FREE National Parks Pass for the 2025-26 school year. We’re thrilled for these future explorers to keep discovering the wonders of the natural world!

🇺🇸🎶 Country View Elementary Choir Shines at Hooper Tomato Days 🎶🇺🇸 🎶✨ We are so proud of our Country View Elementary Choir! This Saturday, they had the special opportunity to sing at the Hooper Tomato Days flag-raising ceremony. 🇺🇸 The choir also got to hear an inspiring message from Mrs. Jennie Taylor, whose husband, Mayor Brent Taylor, gave his life serving our country. Our students shined bright—waking up early, coming to extra practices, and singing their hearts out to represent Country View in such a meaningful way. 💙 A big thank you to our amazing choir director, Mrs. Kim King, for helping our kids share their voices with the community! 🎤🌟 #CVEChoir #CountryViewElementary #StudentSpotlight #HooperTomatoDays

🇺🇸 Flag Duty with Purpose! 🇺🇸 Last week, our 5th grade classes had a very special guest — one of our own parents, Michael Hadley, stopped by to teach an important lesson about the American flag. Mr. Hadley shared with students the meaning behind the flag, how to respect it, and the proper way to raise and lower it — something our 5th graders are responsible for doing each day at school. 🇺🇸✨ His visit made a big impact, and now our students understand not just how to handle the flag, but why it matters. 👏 Huge thanks to Mike for volunteering his time and helping our students learn such an important lesson in respect, responsibility, and patriotism! #FlagRespect #5thGradeLeaders #CommunityMatters #ThankYou #PatriotismInAction #SchoolPride

🎈 6th Grade Memories: Ms. Smith's 6th-grade class celebrated their first last day of elementary school with enthusiasm, lining up outside with big smiles!

📚 Back to School Night: Mrs. Bolton hosted a fantastic Back to School night, connecting with her students and setting the stage for a successful year! Another student is ready to start school at his new desk, excited to learn important new ideas.
